You have full control over your data on OwlCloudHost. You can remove files, clear your trash, or permanently close your account at any time. Items are never deleted immediately — they are first moved to Trash, giving you a safety layer in case you remove something by mistake.
When you remove an item, it is sent to your Trash.
You can remove items in two ways:
Right‑click the file or folder and select Remove to Trash
Select the item, then click the Trash icon in the top‑right corner
The item will instantly move to your Trash.
Trash acts as a temporary holding area for removed items. They stay there until you permanently delete them.
Inside Trash, you can:
Restore items
Permanently delete items
Empty the entire Trash
This gives you full control over what stays and what is removed forever.
If you want to remove something permanently:
Steps:
Open Trash
Select the item
Choose Delete Permanently
This action cannot be undone.
If you plan to close your account, you may want to download your files first. You can:
Download individual files
Download entire folders
OwlCloudHost does not automatically export your data, so downloading it beforehand is recommended.
Deleting your account removes:
All files and folders
All sharing links
All personal information
All account settings
All billing history (except what must be retained for legal compliance)
Steps:
Open Account Settings
Go to Privacy
Select Delete Account
Review the confirmation details
Enter your password
Confirm the deletion
Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.
Once your account is deleted:
All files are permanently erased
Public links stop working immediately
Collaborators lose access
Your login credentials no longer work
Your email becomes available for reuse after a waiting period
This process cannot be undone.
