OwlCloudHost gives you powerful sharing tools that let you collaborate securely, send files to anyone, and control exactly how your content is accessed. You can invite people directly, or create a public shareable link with advanced settings such as expiration, password protection, and download permissions.
You can share files and folders in two ways:
• Invite People — private, secure, and ideal for collaboration
• Public Shareable Link — anyone with the link can access (based on your settings)
Both methods give you full control over permissions.
Use this option when you want specific people to access your file or folder.
They can:
• View the file
• Download it (if allowed)
• Upload or share files into your workspace (if you grant permission)
This is perfect for teams, clients, and shared projects.
Steps:
• Right‑click the file or folder
• Select Share
• Choose Invite People
• Enter their email
• Select their permission level
• Send the invitation
Invited users must log in to access the shared content.
A public link allows anyone with the link to access your file or folder.
You can customize the link with advanced security and access settings.
Steps:
• Right‑click the file or folder
• Select Share
• Choose Create Link
• Turn on the link
• Adjust the link settings as needed
Advanced Link Settings
OwlCloudHost gives you full control over how your shared link behaves.
Each setting can be turned on or off individually.
Set a date when the link automatically stops working.
Useful for temporary access, client deliveries, or time‑limited projects.
Add a password that users must enter before accessing the file.
This adds an extra layer of security for sensitive content.
When enabled, users with the link can download the file.
When disabled, they can only preview it.
Users with the link can import the file directly into their own OwlCloudHost drive.
Great for sharing templates, resources, or files meant to be reused.
Allows users to access the file’s content directly using the link.
This is ideal for:
• Embedding
• Streaming
• Direct media access
• Integrations
Once your link is created and configured, you can copy it instantly:
• Right‑click the file
• Select Copy Link
You can disable the link at any time to revoke access.
You can manage all your shared files from the Shared section in your sidebar.
From there, you can:
• View who has access
• Change permissions
• Disable links
• Remove collaborators
This gives you full control over your shared content.
